11.06.2013 Training practice at Rybalsky quarry
On 11 June 2013, first-year environmental students visited Rybalsky Quarry, a mining enterprise of HeidelbergCement Group, as part of their internship programme. Ksenia Kovalenok, the leading ecologist of the enterprise, who graduated from the Department of Ecology in 2010, introduced our students to the technologies of granite mining and crushed stone and rubble production, as well as to the issues of employee safety and environmental protection at quarries. 1.06.2013 Postgraduate student of the Department of Ecology Kovalenko A.A. received a grant Post-graduate student of the Department of Ecology took part in the International Youth Scientific School ‘Problems of Fundamental and Applied Radiobiology’ A team of young environmental scientists took an active part in the II Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists, Postgraduates and Students of Dnipropetrovs'k ‘Problems and Prospects of Development of Dnipropetrovs'k’, which was held on 20 May 2013 on the basis of the Executive Committee of Zhovtnevyi District Council in Dnipropetrovs'k. 27.04.2013 Congratulations! Traditionally, in April, environmental students gathered at the Odesa State Environmental University to compete for the championship in the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in Ecology, Environmental Protection and Sustainable Nature Management. 20.04.2013 Congratulations to the winning team! According to the results of the creative competition in the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the discipline ‘Ecology’, which was held at Poltava State Agrarian Academy, the team of environmental students of the National Mining University was awarded the Diploma of the Organising Committee of the third degree. 15.04.2013 Participation of environmental students in public events On 15 April 2013, students of the Department of Ecology of the National University of NURE K.V. The chairman of the Student Scientific Society of the Department of Ecology, student of the group EOg-09-1 Semerich K.V. and her supervisor, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology Pavlichenko A.V. with the receipt of the III degree Diploma at the All-Ukrainian competition of student works in the field of science ‘Ecology and Environmental Safety’ for the work ‘Study of the state of green spaces in the zone of influence of motor vehicles’. 12.03.2013 Congratulations to Professor A.I. Gorova on her award! The Head of the Department of Ecology, Doctor of Biology, Professor A.I. On 22 November 2012, the Department of Ecology was visited by a well-known scientist Mykola Klymenko, Head of the Department of Ecology of the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Honoured Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Academician of the UEAN, MANEB. Scientists of the Department of Ecology of the National Mining University together with colleagues from the Department of Ecology, Resource Management and Life Safety of the Pacific State University prepared a joint request for participation in the competition of joint projects of fundamental research ‘SFFD - RFFD - 2013’ on the topic ‘Development of a methodology for managing environmental risks in mining regions’.
