BUCHAVY Yuriy - PhD (candidate of biological sciences), assosiate professor

In 1996-2001 he studied at the Faculty of Mining National Mining Academy on specialty "Ecology and Environment ".

From 1999 to 2001 worked as a programmer in the regional office Social Security Fund , and from 2001 to 2002 as head of a university laboratory, Department of Ecology . In 2002-2005 he attended graduate school at the National Mining University full-time education . Since 2004 assistant in the Department of Ecology NSU, and since 2007 as an engineer - programmer in combination in the center automation and computerization of library NSU .

At the Department of Ecology teaches the following subjects: "Environmental Monitoring", "Fundamentals of Ecology", "Modeling of ecosystems and processes" , as well as conducting practical work in the disciplines "Biometrics", "Landscaping", "Geoinformation technologies in ecology", and "Modeling and prediction of the state of the environment" . At the Department of Environmental Management teaches discipline "Environmental monitoring of industrial technologies and businesses."

Acting as a system administrator, and is responsible for maintaining the official website of the department and the issue of civil defense.

Is working on a thesis entitled "Information and analytical system for forecasting health risks from air pollution in cities with heavy mining-metallurgical industry." Has about 50 scientific - methodical publications .

Areas of research activity:

· Modeling of processes of air pollution from industrial sources

· Application of GIS technologies in environmental monitoring

· Investigation of the health status of the population in cities with high levels of load antoropogennogo
