Modern weather station on the roof of Building 10

In April 2021, the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection purchased a MISOL WA-1091 (MO-5055A) weather station for educational and research purposes, with the ability to regularly transmit data via wireless communication.

Currently, the weather station is installed on the roof of building 10. It operates in automated mode and continuously records data on weather conditions. The following atmospheric parameters are measured: temperature, wind direction and speed, air humidity, precipitation intensity and light intensity.

The data obtained by the weather station is transmitted hourly via radio to the department's server and then broadcast to the following international weather information sources:

The databases of our own meteorological observations will be used to train bachelor's degree students majoring in Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies during practical and laboratory work in the disciplines of Biometrics, Environmental Monitoring, and Meteorology and Climatology, and to help them acquire skills in working with professional equipment in the discipline of Methods of Measuring Environmental Parameters.
