Head of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies at Dnipro Polytechnic National Technical University Artem Pavlichenko, Associate Professor Yuriy Buchavyi, and graduate students Alevtina Mulina and Tetiana Lampika participated in a round table discussion “Problematic Issues: Ecology of the City and Region,” which took place in Dnipro on March 13, 2020. The event was held in the presidium hall of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council and was organized by the public association “Team Dnipro” with the assistance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council.

The first part of the round table featured a discussion of five reports on environmental issues in our region.

Artem Pavlichenko gave a presentation entitled “Key scientific and technical tasks for developing a regional atmospheric air monitoring system by 2025.”

After the presentations, workshops were held with the participation of representatives of the public, authorities, and experts.

As a result of participation in the event, the region's current environmental and nature conservation tasks were identified, which will be taken into account when reviewing and updating the content of the educational programs “Ecology” and “Environmental Protection Technologies,” as well as the academic disciplines “Environmental Monitoring,” “Environmental Impact Assessment,” “Environmental Safety,” and others taught at the department. In addition, the issues discussed will be taken into account in the dissertation research of our graduate students.
