On September 30, at the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies of Dnipro Polytechnic National Technical University, Olga Martynyuk, a leading specialist (ecologist) of the Occupational Safety Department of DTEK Dnipro Power Grids JSC, gave a lecture to students enrolled in the educational and professional program “Environmental Protection Technologies” as part of the “Introduction to the Specialty” discipline and the educational and scientific program “Resource Conservation in the Mining and Metallurgical Complex” as part of the disciplines “Innovative Environmental Protection Technologies” and “Waste Inventory and Accounting.”

The lecture focused on the specifics of environmental protection activities at DTEK Dniprovskiye Electric Networks JSC, procedures for obtaining permits, etc. The ecologist noted that the company is constantly introducing innovative environmental protection technologies, which significantly reduces its impact on the environment. She outlined the employment prospects for graduates, as well as opportunities for internships and work experience.

The focus was on the role of environmental specialists in solving important environmental problems at the local, regional, and international levels. Olga also drew students' attention to opportunities to participate in environmental events held in our region, as well as prospects for future employment.
