On January 24-26, 2018, 14 masters and 3 specialists in the specialty 101 “Ecology” successfully defended their diploma works at the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies!

The students completed their theses aimed at improving the environmental safety of mining, metallurgical, fuel and energy enterprises by improving the system of wastewater treatment, gas and dust emissions and industrial waste disposal.

The thesis was carried out in accordance with the areas of research of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies of the National Mining University in accordance with the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “Basic directions of state policy of Ukraine in the field of environmental protection, use of natural resources and environmental safety” No. 188/98-VR of March 05, 1998, the Law of Ukraine “On the Basic Principles (Strategy) of the State Environmental Policy of Ukraine for the period up to 2020” No. 2818-VI of 21.12.2010 and other environmental documents.

As a result of the defense, the students proved their ability to identify and solve urgent environmental problems of industrial enterprises. By the decision of the examination committee, the graduates were awarded the qualification of “Ecologist”.
