In 2016, he began concurrent studies at the National Mining University (now Dnipro University of Technology) in specialty 035, "Philology." Until 2020, these studies developed his linguistic, analytical, and communication skills, as well as his ability to process and systematize information. After graduating from the college in 2018, he continued his higher education at Dnipro University of Technology in specialty 122, "Computer Science." Between 2018 and 2021, he deepened his knowledge of computer science, information systems, software technologies, and information processing methods. In 2023, he enrolled at Dnipro University of Technology in two degree programs: 075, "Marketing," and 242, "Tourism and Recreation." Marketing gave him a deeper understanding of strategic planning, market research, management, analytics, and marketing communications. Tourism and Recreation broadened his competencies in the functioning of tourism and recreation systems, the use of natural, cultural, and historical resources, the organization of recreational activities, and the assessment of the tourism and recreational potential of territories. He completed both programs in 2025 and defended his qualification theses. He is currently a PhD student at Dnipro University of Technology, specializing in Environmental Protection Technologies (third, educational-scientific level of higher education). Scientific and Research ActivitiesHis research began in the field of information technology and its applications across various domains. During his studies in this area, he took part in scientific conferences, prepared research materials, and published his findings. In 2020, his research titled "Cloud Technologies in the Video Game Industry" was presented at the 14th International Scientific and Practical Conference on the Problems of Information Technology Application in Education, Science, and Industry. His interests later expanded during his studies in Marketing and in Tourism and Recreation. In this period, he focused on the functioning of the tourism industry, the development of hospitality enterprises, the use of marketing strategies in tourism businesses, and the role of innovation in tourism and recreation. In 2025, he presented his research on marketing mechanisms for hotel business development in the paper "Marketing Strategies for Promoting a Hotel in the Domestic Tourism Services Market," published in the proceedings of the 3rd All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference of Higher Education Students and Young Researchers. The same year, his article "The Role of Excursion Activities in the Innovative Development of the Tourism Industry" appeared in the scientific journal Economic Bulletin of Dnipro University of Technology. It examines the contribution of excursion activities to the development of the tourism industry and the importance of innovative approaches in the sector. His work in tourism and recreation became an important step toward his current interests: natural recreational resources, the environmental aspects of their use, and the need to preserve the natural and recreational potential of territories. Development of Research Interests in Ecology and Environmental ProtectionHis current research focus took shape gradually, as he integrated knowledge from technical, humanities, and socioeconomic disciplines. Tourism and Recreation played a major role in this process. It clarified the relationships between natural resources, recreational activities, the socioeconomic development of territories, and environmental conditions, and it laid the groundwork for further study of the sustainable use of recreational resources, the conservation of natural areas, and the environmental sustainability of recreational activities. Personal travel across Ukraine and other countries also contributed. It allowed him to observe various natural recreational areas, their patterns of use, and approaches to environmental conservation. At the same time, the large-scale environmental challenges facing Ukraine as a result of military operations, industrial accidents, and other emergency situations strongly influenced his interest in environmental protection. He was struck above all by the disruption of natural ecosystems, landscape transformation, the deterioration of environmental conditions, and the loss or restriction of opportunities to use the natural and recreational potential of affected territories. As a result, his research increasingly turned to territorial environmental safety, the consequences of anthropogenic impacts, and scientifically substantiated approaches to the conservation, restoration, and environmentally sustainable use of natural resources. His move into environmental research is therefore a continuation of his work in tourism and recreation, with greater emphasis on its environmental foundations, natural resource base, and prospects for sustainable resource management. Additional Training in Environmental Safety and Scientific CommunicationIn 2025–2026, he completed additional training in journalism, information activities, environmental safety, and public communication of environmental issues. His courses included: • "Investigative Journalism, Advocacy, and Anti-Corruption in the Environmental Sector"; • "Environmental Safety and Risks for Communities and Territories in Wartime." These courses improved his understanding of contemporary environmental threats, approaches to ensuring environmental safety, natural resource management challenges under martial law, and mechanisms of public oversight in the environmental sector. They also introduced him to methods of identifying, analyzing, and communicating environmental issues of public significance that require interdisciplinary investigation. The journalism courses strengthened his skills in gathering, verifying, systematizing, and publicly presenting information. Combined with his earlier education in philology, information technology, and marketing, these skills support scientific communication, the dissemination of research findings, and the clear presentation of evidence-based information on pressing environmental issues. Current Research Activities and Areas of InterestHis current research is part of his doctoral studies in Environmental Protection Technologies at Dnipro University of Technology. It centers on natural recreational resources in the context of environmental safety, sustainable natural resource management, the potential use of modern environmental protection technologies, and the sustainable development of recreational areas. He pays particular attention to territories whose ecosystems have changed substantially due to emergency situations, anthropogenic impacts, or military operations. His interests include assessing the environmental condition of such territories, identifying prerequisites for their future use, examining environmental protection constraints, and exploring environmentally sound approaches to preserving and restoring their recreational potential. Within this area, he emphasizes the potential of environmental protection technologies for ensuring the environmentally safe use of natural resources and limiting the adverse consequences of ecosystem degradation. Future research will need to account for the natural characteristics of territories, the nature of their environmental transformations, potential risks, and the balance between environmental protection goals and opportunities for recreational use. These issues are especially relevant to Ukrainian territories that have undergone extensive environmental change due to military operations and related emergency situations. A promising direction is the study of how natural recreational resources can be conserved, restored, and used safely in territories where environmental conditions have changed significantly. Specific technological approaches and research methods will be determined at later stages, based on the environmental characteristics of the territories and the findings of relevant scientific analyses. One area of particular interest is the environmental transformation of natural territories in the Lower Dnipro region, including changes in the natural and recreational potential of areas severely affected by the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant and the resulting changes in the hydrological regime. Interdisciplinary Approach to Scientific ResearchA distinctive feature of his background is the integration of knowledge from several educational and professional fields, which supports comprehensive research into contemporary environmental challenges. Computer science and information technology provide a theoretical and practical basis for applying digital tools, information systems, and data processing methods, where the research objectives, data availability, and suitability of the methods allow. Tourism and recreation contribute an understanding of natural resource use, the functioning of recreational territories, and the links between environmental conditions and economic activity. Marketing adds skills in systems analysis, strategic planning, and the assessment of socioeconomic aspects of territorial development. Philology, complemented by journalism and public communication training, supports the processing of scientific information, the preparation of research materials, and the presentation of results. This interdisciplinary profile allows him to examine environmental issues not only through environmental protection technologies but also in relation to sustainable natural resource management, the socioeconomic development of territories, information support, and scientific communication. The main focus of his future research is environmental protection technologies for conserving, restoring, and ensuring the environmentally safe use of natural recreational resources, particularly in territories that have undergone significant environmental transformation as a result of emergency situations.
