Irina Kozlova

In 2005, she graduated from the National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine with a degree in economics.

2006 - 2007 National State University, Faculty of Postgraduate Education, speciality - enterprise management.

2018 - 2019 Dnipro Branch of the State Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, Master's degree in Public Administration and Management.

Since 2011, she has been working at the Department of Environmental Policy of Dnipro City Council, currently holding the position of Deputy Director of the Department - Head of the Municipal Ecology Division of the Department of Environmental Policy of Dnipro City Council. His main responsibilities include ensuring the implementation of the state policy on waste management and air protection, organising the development and preparation of waste management programmes, environmental monitoring, and implementation of national programmes in the city.

She is responsible for coordinating the interaction of local authorities and initiative groups, working with NGOs, participating in international conferences, preparing materials for the media, round tables, speeches, reports, etc.

 In 2019, she received certificates of completion of SABIT internships under the Waste Management Programme of the US Department of Commerce and the Waste Management Technology Implementation Programme of the JICA International Cooperation Agency (Japan), where she defended her thesis on the topic: "Implementation of project management for local governments in the design and construction of waste processing facilities"; in 2024, based on the results of the internship, she received JICA certificates under the programme "Development of the capacity for recycling of demolition waste", in 2025 - on the management of asbestos-containing waste.

Participant in the programme of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi) "Fit for Partnership with Germany" (GIZ -Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH) on "Economic cooperation in the field of waste management".

 Since 2012, she has been a volunteer consultant for the NGO EcoDnipro.

Since 2017, she has been an expert mentor for the ISWA Young Professional Group of Ukraine (International Solid Waste Association), an organisation that brings together young experts in the field of waste management in Ukraine.

She is one of the founders and leading ambassadors of the public initiative "Ecoconsciousness of Dnipro".

Since the beginning of the hostilities, she has been a volunteer for the Freedom Trust, Ukraine Relief, TAPS and other charities.
