🌿 Today, Dnipro became a little cleaner — and we are proud to have played our part! 💚

On September 19, our department community joined World Cleanup Day. Symbolically, today also marks International Clean Shores Day, so we celebrated it by taking care of the banks of our river together! 🌊

Our students and PhD students — Valerii Malchenko, Anastasiia Orlenko, and Illia Pavkliukov — together with our lecturers Iryna Kozlova and Pavlo Lomazov, joined our partners to clean up a large riverside area near Poplavok. And the result truly makes us happy: where there was litter before, there is now a clean riverbank! 🌿

🤝 We were especially happy to meet and work side by side with our friends from the Department of Environmental Policy of Dnipro City Council @ecologiya_dnepr, Let’s Do It Ukraine @letsdoitukraine, Biosphere Corporation, the team of the Underground sorting station and eco-hub @underground_dnipro_, and our other partners. We are united by much more than a single event — we are one big environmental community that loves our city and takes care of it together! 💚

For us, public environmental engagement means turning knowledge, care, and love for nature into real action and visible change. We are proud of our team and grateful to everyone who joined us today! 💪

Thank you to the organizers for bringing us together for such a meaningful cause. We are heading home in high spirits, pleasantly tired, and with the best reward of all — a clean riverbank left behind! 💚🌿
