🌱 What if your future profession begins with a single measurement?

Today, the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies welcomed students from Lyceum No. 136. It was more than just a university visit — the students had an opportunity to see how modern, practical, and diverse environmental science can be.

💻 Associate Professor Yurii Buchavyi demonstrated how computer equipment and digital technologies can be used in environmental research.

🥬💧 Associate Professor Pavlo Lomazov introduced the students to nitrate measurements in food and water and demonstrated how modern instruments can be used to assess air quality.

🔬 Laboratory Head Viacheslav Fedotov presented the department’s microscopes and laboratory equipment and showed how they are used in environmental studies.

What impressed us most was the students’ genuine curiosity — many questions, a desire to try the equipment themselves, and a real interest in understanding how environmental research is carried out.

Perhaps for some of them, today’s visit became the first step toward a future career in environmental science — and in a few years, we may meet again, this time not as school students, but as our university students. 💚

We also look forward to continuing our cooperation with Lyceum No. 136 through new practical activities, environmental research workshops, and joint initiatives. After all, improving the environment of our city begins with curiosity, knowledge, and personal involvement.
