The Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies is actively involved in the educational project GREEN-ED. Green Education of Dnipro 💚

The project was launched in 2025, and starting from March 18, 2026, for the second year in a row, we, together with our colleagues from other departments, are welcoming school students to our university 🏫

This year, students from 17 schools of Dnipro, mainly grades 8–9, are joining the program.

🔬 During the sessions, students work as real researchers:

🥕 measure nitrate levels in vegetables and fruits

🌬 explore air quality and learn why proper ventilation matters

🔊💡🌫 study noise, lighting, and air composition using modern equipment — sound level meters, lux meters, and gas analyzers

🔬 use a modern digital microscope to observe various objects and organisms

💧 learn about water quality, nitrate pollution in rivers, and water supply sources

✨ And this is far from the full list of activities — even more experiments, observations, and hands-on work are ahead.

💚 For us, this project is not only about environmental education.

It is about developing environmental awareness 🌍 and supporting career guidance. Through hands-on experiments, students can better understand what interests them the most and make more informed decisions about their future profession.

Together, we are shaping a generation that not only understands environmental issues but is ready to explore, analyze, and act 🚀
