From October 21-26, 2025, the #dniprotech team visited Åbo Akademi University in Finland with the aim of enhancing academic cooperation and developing scientific partnerships.
The Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies was represented by Associate Professor Yulia Voronkova.

The #dniprotech representatives were warmly welcomed by Vice-Rector Professor Patrik Henelius, the TFK Ukraine Programme Coordinator Associate Professor Tan-Phat Huynh, as well as Professor Dmitry Murzin, Olha Yevdokimova, Jonas Backström, Tuija-Liisa Pohja, and Pia Le Grand.

Within the framework of the intensive visit program, the parties discussed the scientific priorities of the universities, the results of cooperation within the TFK programme, and outlined directions for further joint research.
Furthermore, the #dniprotech team visited scientific laboratories and industrial enterprises, and participated in meetings with Åbo Akademi University researchers – Dr. Xiaoju Wang, Prof. Ron Zevenhoven, Dr. Jan-Henrik Smått, Prof. Johan Bobacka, and Prof. Peter Österholm.

These meetings were dedicated to pharmaceutical sciences, chemical and materials engineering, as well as electrochemistry.

A highlight of the visit was the attendance at the Turku Imaging Day and Turku Biomaterials Days 2025 events. During these, #dniprotech representatives engaged in discussions with leading Åbo Akademi University researchers – Prof. Jessica Rosenholm and Prof. Hongbo Zhang.

These meetings opened new perspectives for joint research in the fields of biomaterials, nanomedicine, and sustainable technologies.
This visit marked an important step in the development of the partnership between #dniprotech and Åbo Akademi University, fostering scientific dialogue, innovation, and the formation of shared academic values.

Together, we are creating new opportunities for the future of science and education.
