As part of their zoology field trip, second-year students visited the ‘Aquarium’ Research Centre, where they had the opportunity to explore a rich collection of aquatic fauna. During the tour, the students not only observed the diversity of aquatic organisms but also deepened their understanding of their morphology, ecological characteristics, adaptations to their environment and role in natural ecosystems. This hands-on experience with living specimens proved to be a valuable addition to the theoretical course, helped to develop practical skills in zoological observation, and broadened the future specialists’ understanding of the biodiversity of aquatic organisms.

Such field trips are an important component of the students’ professional training, as they combine theoretical learning with practical experience, foster a research-oriented mindset and strengthen their interest in studying biological diversity and the conservation of aquatic ecosystems.
