Today, students (Biology and biochemistry) and lecturers of our department visited the modern production facility of «Intercorn Corn Processing Industry» LLC — one of Ukraine’s leaders in corn processing!

🔹 What did we see?

• Production of glucose-fructose syrups and maltose molasses, which replace sugar in confectionery, beverages, and beer;
  
• Extraction of corn germs for oil production;
  
• Manufacturing of dry animal feed (cellulose and protein);
  
• Starch processing and other products.
  

🔹 Why was it important?

For biologists, this tour was a unique opportunity to see the practical application of biotechnological and biochemical processes — from raw materials to finished products!

• Safety briefing;
  
• Professional lecture on production technologies;
  
• Lunch at the enterprise cafeteria;
  
• Tour of production workshops and laboratories.
