On 27 September 2021, as part of the Strategic Environmental Assessment course for students of the Ecology educational and professional programme, the Director of the Environmental Policy Department of the Dnipro City Council, O. B. Semenko, and the Deputy Director of the Department, Head of the Municipal Ecology Division, I. A. Kozlova, held an open lecture.

During the meeting between students and university staff and representatives of the Department of Environmental Policy, the role of local government in solving pressing problems in the city, developing an environmental monitoring system and a separate waste collection system, as well as the main strategic objectives for the development of our city, were discussed.

The guests invited students to participate in various environmental protection activities implemented in Dnipro, and outlined the prospects for internships and further employment in environmental institutions in our city.
