Iryna Klimkina, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies, participated in the International Scientific Conference “Future Materials – Safe Resources Supply – Circular Economy” held at the Technical University “Freiberg Mining Academy” on June 6, 2018.

The colloquium discussed issues related to waste disposal and the transition to a circular economy.

During the section “Silver, Indium and other Treasures: Biohydro- and Hydrometallurgical Approaches to Win Rare Metals from Ores, Processing Remains and Scrap” Iryna gave an interesting presentation entitled “Metagenomic Study and Trace Elements Bioleaching from Coal Mining Spoil Dumps in Ukraine.”
