NMU and TU Freiberg Mining Academy: a new stage of cooperation

Iryna Klimkina, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies at the National Mining University, works on biotechnology and biomining issues that are relevant to the world and Ukraine. The results of her research demonstrate how to develop the country's mining industry while ensuring environmental cleanliness and preventing environmental hazards. Cooperation with the Freiberg Mining Academy (Germany) makes it possible to solve such serious problems.

During the visit of Associate Professor Iryna Klimkina to the Freiberg Mining Academy, a number of meetings were held with colleagues to discuss a new stage of cooperation between the two countries' scientific schools in 2017. The cooperation will be developed in several areas: within the Erasmus+ program and in the preparation of masters' degrees under the Biomining educational and scientific project. Joint research in the field of biotechnology and biomining will soon be presented in a scientific article of the professional publication Wiley Online Library.
