Traditionally, the Department of Ecology hosted Section 10 ‘Environmental Problems of Loaded Regions’ of the II All-Ukrainian Scientific and Technical Conference of Students, Postgraduates and Young Scientists "YOUTH: SCIENCE AND INNOVATION".

More than 30 abstracts were submitted for the conference, aimed at solving environmental problems of the Dnipro region and Ukraine as a whole. During the section, 14 reports were presented.

Traditionally, students of universities of I-II accreditation levels take an active part in the work of the section. Students from technical schools and colleges in the cities of Dniprodzerzhynsk, Pavlohrad and Dnipro presented reports on the problems of soil, air and water pollution from industrial and motor vehicle emissions. During the conference, 10 master's students had the opportunity to test the results of scientific research obtained during their master's theses.

The students' participation in the conference gave them the opportunity to adapt to public speaking and use the comments that arose during the discussion of the reports to improve further research and enhance the quality of their theses.
