Assistant of the Department of Ecology Dmytro Koshka was awarded the medal ‘For Devotion to the University’

At the meeting of the University Administration on 28 October 2014, the Rector of NMU, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Gennadiy Pivnyak presented the university award - the medal ‘For Devotion to the University’ - to Dmytro Koshka, Assistant of the Department of Ecology of NMU, a participant of the ATO in the East of Ukraine.
Dmytro Koshka, a graduate ecologist at NMU with a postgraduate degree, was mobilised to defend Ukraine. For almost four months he commanded a rifle platoon. While performing an important special mission, Dmytro received shrapnel wounds to both legs and is currently undergoing treatment at the Mechnikov Regional Clinical Hospital. For his heroism in the undeclared war, he was awarded the Bohdan Khmelnytsky Order of the III degree.
