On 12 February 2013, a solemn commemoration of L.V. Pisarzhevsky on the occasion of his 140th birthday was held in Pisarzhevsky Park. The event was initiated by Larisa Fedotova, a teacher of chemistry and ecology at school No. 67. At the monument to L.V. Pisarzhevsky, the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Dnipro National University Vargaliuk V.F., Associate Professors of the DNU Kovalenko V.S. and Stets N.V., as well as the representative of the NMU, Assistant Professor of the Department of Ecology Fedotov V.V. spoke many words of gratitude to L.V. Pisarzhevsky as the founder of many scientific and pedagogical schools and laid flowers at the monument.
