Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology Klimkina Iryna Ivanivna received a grant from the Open Society Foundations and the University of Cambridge to conduct research at the Laboratory of Cell Biology of the Herndon Institute for Carcinogenesis (Cambridge, UK).

From 15 July to 12 August 2013, Klimkina I.I. conducted a series of experiments using human cell cultures RPE-CycB1-Venus, RPE-CycA2-Venus and RPE-CycB1-Venus-PCNA-mRuby to determine the activity of cyclins А₂, В₁, as well as the appearance of a DNA damage marker during S-phase under the influence of NCS, which causes double-stranded DNA breaks, at different concentrations, based on real-time fluorescence microscopy.
