Post-graduate student of the Department of Ecology took part in the International Youth Scientific School ‘Problems of Fundamental and Applied Radiobiology’

Post-graduate student of the Department of Ecology A.A. Kovalenko received a grant to participate in the XIII International Youth Scientific School ‘Problems of Fundamental and Applied Radiobiology’, which was held at the Medical Radiobiological Research Centre from 27 to 31 May 2013 in Obninsk.

More than 100 young students, postgraduates and scientists from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Japan, Canada and other countries took part in the school. The school participants were given lectures by renowned scientists from leading research centres in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Canada, England and the United States on the impact of ionising and non-ionising radiation on living organisms and the development of rehabilitation measures.

During the school, the scientific, educational and methodological achievements of the National Mining University and the Department of Ecology were presented. The established business contacts will allow for further fruitful cooperation with leading institutions in Russia and Belarus.

Upon completion of the school, the participants received certificates of participation in the International Youth Scientific School ‘Problems of Fundamental and Applied Radiobiology’ along with unforgettable impressions.
