The team of the State Higher Educational Institution ‘National Mining University’ consisting of postgraduate student Kovalenko A.A. and students of environmental science Semerich K.V. and Tsurkan A.O. took part in the International Youth Scientific School ‘Problems of Fundamental and Applied Radiobiology’, which was held at the Medical Radiobiological Research Centre from 21 to 26 May 2012 in Obninsk. More than 100 young students, postgraduates, and scientists from the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus, England, Canada, and other countries took part in the school. The school participants were given lectures by renowned scientists from leading research centres in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Canada, England and the United States on the impact of ionising and non-ionising radiation on living organisms and the development of rehabilitation measures. After the event, the participants received certificates of participation in the International Youth Scientific School ‘Problems of Fundamental and Applied Radiobiology’ along with unforgettable impressions.
